Harlan Howell, 75, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at his home. He was born on December 5, 1947 in Barnesville, Ohio to the late Donald and Mary Lou (Carpenter) Howell. Harlan was a 1965 graduate of Barnesville High School. After high school he enlisted in the Air Force. He was a member of the NRA and the Association of Ohio Longrifle Collectors. Harlan was a gunsmith, an artist, he had many talents including painting, woodworking and making all kinds of crafts. He was an enthusiast of old antique Ford cars, Cleve tracs, and tractors. In addition to his parents, Harlan was preceded in death by his sister, Phyllis M. Anderson. Harlan is survived by his nephews, Greg (April) Anderson, Brian Anderson, and James (Kassie) Anderson; nieces, Debra (Brad) Allar and Brenda (Chris) Bauer; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 3, 2023 from 10:00am until the time of the service at 12:00pm with Rev. Tom Detling officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens in Colerain. Harlan's care has been entrusted to Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio.
