Gloria Adkins, 74, of Somerton, Ohio passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023 at her home. She was born on August 19, 1949 in Princeton, New Jersey to the late Nicholas Henry and Doris Evelyn (Durling) Diaforli. Gloria was a graduate of Franklin High School in New Jersey and of Salem College where she obtained her Associates Degree and met the love of her life, Dallas. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Barnesville. Gloria loved to sew and shop. She also loved visiting the Amish Country. In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Eugene Diaforli. Gloria is survived by her husband of 54 years, Dallas Adkins; daughter, Denise Adkins; granddaughter, Vanessa Leach; brother, James (Pamela) Diaforli; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Janie Burkhart, Cathy Froehlich, and Julie Plumly; and her goddaughter, Miranda Jo Plumly. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 10:00am until the time of the service at 12:00pm with Sam Lucas officiating at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street Barnesville, Ohio. Burial will follow at Somerton Southern Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Gloria's honor to Cutting Class for a Cure, 109 West Highland Ave, Barnesville, Ohio 43713.
