Glenda M. Betts, 86, of Barnesville passed away Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Emerald Pointe Nursing and Rehab. She was born In Belmont County on September 8, 1928 to the late Welda and Edna (Huntsman) Stephen.
Glenda was a member of the East Richland Friends Church. She worked in housekeeping for 31 years at the Barnesville Hospital.
In addititon to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gail William Betts; four brothers: Kelly, Girdon, Elmer and Ruben Stephen; and three sisters: Marth Eddy, Betsy Tipton and Hazel Jackson.
Glenda is survived by three sons: William (Jean) Stephens of Barnesville, Lonnie (Mary) Betts of Flushing and Rick (Kendra) Betts of Freeport; four daughters: Rose Fenstamaker, Janie (Bob) Saffell of Belmont, Barb Workman of Barnesville and Judy (Jerry) Robb of Bethesda; 21 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 9 grea-great-grandchildren; two siblings: Bob Stephen and Eileen Wehr; brother-in-law, Richard (Ruth) Betts; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 26, 2015 from 5-8pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio. The service will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at 11am with Pastor Rodney West and Joe Thornton officiating. Burial will follow in Friends Cemetery in Quaker City, Ohio.
The family would like to thank Emerald Pointe Nursing and Rehab, Hospice of Guernsey County and Valley Hospice for all of the care they showed Glenda.
