Gerald "Jerry" L. Burkhart, Jr., 53, of Barnesville, Ohio died Saturday, May 19, 2012 at Barnesville Hospital. He was born September 9, 1958 in Alexandria, Louisiana to Jerold L. and Barbara Ellen (Wood) Burkhart. Jerry was assistant manager at the Barnesville Auto Parts Store and attended Barnesville First United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his father - Jerold L. Burkhart and infant sister - Kathy Burkhart. Surviving are loving wife - Janie (Smith) Burkhart; mother - Barbara Burkhart of Barnesville; 2 sisters- Mary Margaret (Ted) Habak of Reynoldsburg, Ohio and Karen (Steve) Hill of Barnesville, Ohio; step-daughter - Jennifer Reynolds of Dublin, Ohio; step-son - Scott (Kristen) Young of Barnesville; granddaughters - Hailey Reynolds and Laken, Kylie, and Kynzie Young; and a niece & nephew - Michael Habak and Mara Habak. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 22, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio where services will be Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 11 AM with Pastor John Partridge officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Cemetery in Barnesville, Ohio.
