George "Willie" Carpenter, 94, of Barnesville, OH died Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at the Barnesville Health Care Center. He was born October 28, 1917 in Temperanceville, OH to the late Clyde E. and Anna Carpenter. Willie was a retired farmer and truck driver for Ohio Valley Paving. He was preceded in death by 2 daughters - Sara Louise Nolan and Sue Ellen Carpenter; 1 son - Robert Larry Carpenter; 2 sisters - Martha Robb and Blanche Phillips; and 2 brothers - Lloyd "Buss" and Clesson Carpenter. He is survived by his wife - Alberta V. (Brown) Carpenter; son - James E. Carpenter of Quaker City, OH; brother - Clyde Edward "Pete" (Joyce) Carpenter of Barnesville, OH; 9 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, 4/6/2012 2-4 and 6-8 at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, OH. The service will be Saturday, 4/7/2012 at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Crestview Cemetery, Barnesville, OH.
