Freda Mae Gingery, 79, of Barnesville, Ohio and formerly of Dover, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville, Ohio. She was born on August 17, 1944, in Belmont County to the late Dexter and Zelma (Butler) Baker. Freda was a a woman of faith. Freda enjoyed cooking and working in her flower garden. She was a sponsor for many people in Alcoholics Anonymous. Freda loved her family and her cats. In addition to her parents, Freda was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence W. Gingery; son Danny Wilson; sisters, Phyllis Barrett and Ruth Scott; brothers, Dexter Baker, Jr. and Donnie Baker; brothers-in-law, John Tipton, Leonard Armstrong, Terry Carpenter, Clark Smith, and Scott Cline. Freda is survived by her two grandchildren, Dexter (Neily) Wilson and Beth Wilson (Adam); great-grandchildren; step-daughter, Sherry Rotanda; siblings Blanche Tipton, Gladys Smith, Shirley Carpenter, Sarah Cline, and Ginny Armstrong; special nieces and caretakers, Denise Leasure and Beverly Lyons; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat, Clara. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024 from 10:00am until the time of the service at 12:00pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio with Jeffrey Lucas officiating. Burial will follow at Sewellsville Cemetery.
