Etta Loraine Gross, 72, of Quaker City, Ohio died Thursday, August 4, 2011 surrounded by family at her home. She was born February 26, 1939 in Mohawk, West Virginia to the late Albert Alderson and Nancy Ellen (Williamson) Deskins. Mrs. Gross was retired from Massillon State Hospital then later worked at Das Dutch Kitchen in Dalton, Ohio. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother - Paul Deskins. Surviving are her husband - Paul W. Gross, whom she married on December 23, 1955; 4 children - Kathy (Carl) Baum of Massillon, Ohio, Robert (Katie) Gross of Quaker City, Diana "Cricket" Gross of Cambridge, and Timothy (Becky) Gross of Cambridge; 2 sisters - Lois (Norman) Johnson of Abigdon, Virginia and Patricia Justice of Justice, West Virginia; sister-in-law - Jean Deskins of Warner Robins, Georgia; 9 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and a step-great-granchild. She will be missed by her family, extended family and friends. Visitation Saturday, August 6, 2011, from noon until time of the service at 2 PM at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Burial follows in Fairview Cemetery.
