Emma Marie Atkinson, 96, of Barnesville died Thursday, January 31, 2013 at the Barnesville Health Care Center.  She was born on August 16, 1916 in Belmont County to the late Clarence R. and Zelda (Johnson) Lodge.

She was a member of the Assumption Church in Barnesville.  In her free time, she liked to crochet.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Atkinson and an infant brother, Clarence Eugene Lodge.

She is survived by 2 sons: Clarence (Connie) Atkinson of Barnesville and Hugh (Theresa) Atkinson; 2 daughters: Martha (Thomas) Bratton of Gaithersburg, MD and Luella (Ray) Gillespie of Viera, FL; sister, Clara LeClair of Hudson, FL; 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio.  Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday February 6, 2013 at 10:00am at the Assumption Church with Msgr. Froehlich officiating.  Burial will follow in Somerton Cemetery.
