Elva (Phillips) Earley, 95, of Barnesville, Ohio formerly of Lewisville, Ohio passed away Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Barnesville Health Care Center. She was born on April 25, 1919 in Yancy County, North Carolina to the late Andrew "Andy" and Nan (Edwards) Phillips.

Elva was a Southern Baptist by Faith. While they lived in Lewisville, she enjoyed being a mother and raising her family. After returning to North Carolina, she worked as a visiting nurse for the elderly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband - Horace Earley; 3 sisters; and 4 brothers.

Elva is survived by children - Doug (Ruth) Earley of Marietta, Rebecca (David) Murphy of York, PA, Nancy (Ray) Carpenter of Belmont, Gary (Cindy) Earley of Hillsboro, NC, and Margaret (Jeff) Poling of Wooster, Ohio; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sister - Eulala McGraw; and nieces & nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2015 from 1 PM until the time of the service at 2 PM with Pastor Rodney West and Joe Thornton officiating at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family at Crestview Cemetery in Barnesville
