Edith Mae Ball, 80, of Barnesville died Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at her home. Heaven has gained a loving, strong, devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was born in Summerfield, Ohio on May 28, 1934 to the late Everett E. and Tressie (Alexander) Carpenter.
Edith was a Methodist by faith and attended the Main Street United Methodist Church. She had worked for the Jonathan Logan Company.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Cory L. Ball; and five brothers: Guy, Ellsworth, Donald, Sylvan and Dale Carpenter.
Edith is survived by her three children: Donna (Rudolph) Keaton of Kimbolton, Patrick S. Ball of Warwood, WV and Lorrie (Harlen) Temple of Barnesville; five grandchildren: Haley (Scott) Larrick, Clayton (Alyssa) Temple, Kenzie Temple, Kyle (Kaitlyn) Temple and Cody Temple; sister, Ora D. Carpenter of St. Clairsville; five great-grandchildren: Zoey, Lily, Sawyer, Corey and Jackson Temple; step-grandson, Kevin (Mandy) Keaton; step-great-grandson, Brenden Keaton; and special companions, her dogs, Jessie and Clark Kent.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 11:30am at Crestview Cemetery in Barnesville with Rev. Gene Miller officiating. Arrangements by Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Edith's memory to the Ohio State Highway Patrol or the ASPCA, P.O. Box 96929, Washington, DC 20090-6929.
