Earl Stephens,84, of Barnesville, Ohio, died Monday January 30, 2012 at Emerald Point Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Barnesville, Ohio. He was born April 21, 1927 in Sewellsville, Ohio to the late Oscar and Golda (Sivard) Stephens. Earl attended the Sewellsville United Methodist Church. He was a farmer; owner-operator of Stephens Fur, Roots and Wool; co-owner with his wife, June, of Stephens Grocery; and served as a Kirkwood Trustee for 21 years. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Carolyn "June" Stephens; daughter, Linda Sue (Steven) Smith of Magnolia, Ohio; 2 grandchildren, Kimberly Smith of Newport, Ohio and Adam (Lauren) Smith of Barnesville; brother, Paul (Thomasine) Stephens of Bolivar, Ohio; sister Helen (George "Hank") Temple of Barnesville; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Wednesday 02/01/2012 from 5-8 PM at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio, and Thursday 10 AM until the time of service at 11 AM at the Sewellsville United Methodist Church with his son-in-law Rev. Steve Smith officiating.
