Douglas Frederick Chappell, 35, of Barnesville passed away on Friday, February 16, 2018 at his home.  He was born in Cambridge, Ohio on August 14, 1982 to George and Arlene (Sefert) Chappell of Boston, Ohio.

Doug was a member of St. John the Baptist Parish in Miltonsburg, Ohio.  He was a 2000 graduate of Beallsville High School and worked as a mine electrician at Tunnel Ridge Mine.

Doug is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Arla Sefert and Arthur and Madeline Mellinger and his paternal grandparents, Charles and Hilda Chappell.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his children: Madison, Taylor, Brooklynn and Kirra; three brothers: Robbie (Deanna) Chappell of Jerusalem, Chris (Jamie) Chappell of Beallsville and Theo (Sommer) Chappell of Lewisville; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 19, 2018 from 4-8pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 11am at St. John the Baptist Parish in Miltonsburg with Father David Gaydosik.  Burial will follow on the family farm.
