Dorothy Maxine (Burgess) Leek Howiler, 88, of Quaker City, Ohio passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at her home. She was born on July 26, 1927 in Charleston, WV to the late James Howard and Lillie (Jones) Burgess.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Jake W. Leek; second husband, William Howiler; infant grandson; infant granddaughter; brothers, Giles Burgess, Kenneth Burgess, Shirley Lee Burgess, Delmar Burgess, Benjamin Burgess, James H. Burgess, Leonard Burgess, and David Burgess; sisters, Reba Walker and Kathleen Holmes.
Maxine is survived by her children, John Leek, James Leek, Beverly (Roger) Wade, Larry (Lorna) Leek, Rusty (Teri) Leek, Keith (Rhonda) Leek, Kirk (Tammy) Leek, Randy Leek, Belva (Bill) Guthrie, and Linda (Chuck) Palmer; step-children, Marlin (Evelena) Brown, Danny Howiler, William (Bonnie) Howiler, Rick (Betty Ann) Howiler, Jeannie Howiler, Jackie (Butch) Lucas, Kay (JR) Burkhart, Cyndi (Mike) Hershberg, Polly Jones, and Jeri Reed; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Colvert.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 1, 2016 from 4-8 PM at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio where services will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 11 AM with Pastor Bob Merritt officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Cemetery in Barnesville, Ohio.
