Doris L. Martin Burkhart, 94, Barnesville, died Friday, November 25, at Emerald Pointe Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born April 22, 1922, on the family farm in Belmont County, a daughter of the late Will and Ada Neptune Martin.

She was retired from the G.C. Murphy Store at Barnesville, and was a member of the Main Street United Methodist Church, Barnesville.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Francis "Oscar" Burkhart; five sisters: Clara, Mary, Laura, Alice and Bertha; two brothers: John and Chalmer; and lifelong friend, Margaret Warfield McCort.

Surviving are two sons: Robert of Illinois and Max of Barnesville; five grandchildren: Lacy, Benjamin, Timothy, Daniel, and Jonathan; and three great-grandchildren: Easton, Jacob, and Chandler.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 from 11am until the time of the service at 1pm at the Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio with Rev. Kenneth Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Somerset Township.
