Doreen D. "Dee Dee" Detling, 68, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Monday, October 2, 2023, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. She was born on September 24, 1955, in Barnesville Hospital to the late Richard Dale "Dick" and Janet A. (Huntsman) Detling.

Dee Dee was a 1973 graduate of Barnesville High School where she participated as a member of the band. She graduated Otterbein College and Grant Hospital School of Nursing with an RN degree. Dee Dee worked in the nursing field until she retired at 62.

Dee Dee was a member of the Church of Christ; a beautiful Christian who lived by her faith. She was a selfless, loving person who always put others first. Her close group of friends were more like sisters. Her family and friends were a special link to her life and heart. Dee Dee loved animals especially her cats.

Dee Dee is survived by her brothers, Darren Detling of Somerton and Damon (Tammy Whitsell) Detling of Somerton; and niece & nephew, Josh Bailey and Darrah Ann Detling.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2023 from 4-8 pm and on Friday, October 6, 2023 from 10 am until the time of the funeral at 11 am with Rick Lallathin officiating at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio . Burial will follow at Somerton Southern Cemetery in Somerton, Ohio.
