Donald E. May Jr., 48 of Whipple, Ohio, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2020. Donald was born on September 2, 1971, in Barnesville, Ohio to Donald May, Sr. of Old Washington and Diana (Mike) Lucas Hayes of Temperanceville. Donald was a 1991 graduate of Barnesville High School and a graduate of the Marine Corps where he was honorably discharged. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, fishing, camping, boating, and being outdoors in general. He was very active in Twin Rivers Baptist Church where he had just enjoyed his time on missionary trips. He thought of himself as a master mechanic and a master at canning his produce from his garden. Donald is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Joe and Mildred May and maternal grandparents, Randall and Anita Lucas. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter Shania May of St. Clairsville; sisters, Darla (Tom) Carpenter of Barnesville, Darcy Leach of Barnesville; nieces and nephews, Caleb Carpenter, Abby Carpenter, Bailey Leach, Brayden Leach, Megan Workman, and Alli Camp; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. A private service will be held at the convenience at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Military honors will be given by the Belmont County Veterans Association.
