David A. Swallie, 68, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Acuity Specialty Hospital of Ohio Valley at Wheeling. He was born on October 3, 1952, in Barnesville, Ohio to the late Theodore C. and Elsie (Albaugh) Swallie. Dave was 1970 graduate of Barnesville High School. He was retired from the Carpenters Union. Dave was a member of the VFW and Barnesville American Legion. He enjoyed fishing and playing cards. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Roger Allen Swallie and Curtis L. Swallie. Dave is survived by his daughter, Michele Swallie, Amanda (Jeff) Phillips of Pennsylvania; son Heath (Paige) Swallie of Florida; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; siblings, Cheryl (Robert) Hoff of Sebring, Ohio, Carolyn (Terry) Stephen of Temperanceville, Brian (Melissa) Swallie of Temperanceville, Kari (Rick) Carpenter of Quaker City, and Cindy Swallie of Barnesville; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 14, 2021 at 10:00 am at Pisgah Cemetery with Pastor Rodney West officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home 319 N.
