David "Bear" J. Clift, 63, of Barnesville passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at his home.  David was born in Barnesville on September 30, 1955 to Betty (Mayberry) Clift of Barnesville and the late Oliver Clift.

David was retired from the US Army.  He was a 1974 graduate of Barnesville High School and a member of the Legion Riders of Batesville.  David owned and operated Freebird Motorcycle Shop in Barnesville and was employed by Joe's Tires.  He was a disc jockey and loved playing music.

David is survived by his mother, Betty Clift of Barnesville; fiancée, Melissa Guy of Barnesville; children: Kaiden, Kenzie, Kaylee and Kaitlyn; brother, Rick (Jita) Clift of Barnesville; sister, Debbie Myers of Hoffman Estates, IL; and niece and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 4-8pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio.  The service will be held on Friday, January 11, 2019 at 11am with Rev. Ted Buehl and Roy Hershberger officiating.  Burial will follow in Crestview Cemetery.  Military honors will be conducted by Belmont County Veteran's Association.
