Daniel R. "Shultz" Shuman, 49, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center in Cambridge. He was born on December 4, 1964 in Barnesville to Samuel L. and Marlene (Hutchison) Shuman, Sr.
Shultz was a 1983 graduate of Barnesville High School and a graduate of Wright State. He was a lifelong musician of Ammunition, Zen Cowboyzz, and Shuman Band. He worked at the Alternative Center in Mt. Vernon, Fairborn Police Department, and Children Services in Cambridge.
He was preceded in death by his father - Samuel L. Shuman, Sr.; stepson - Joshua Mead; and nephew - Ben Cox.
He is survived by his mother - Marlene Shuman of Barnesville; wife - Jennifer (Derexson) Shuman of Barnesville; brother - Samuel L. (Melissa) Shuman, Jr. of Mt. Vernon, Ohio; sister - Valerie (Steve) Bolton of Florida; 2 stepsons - Matthew Mead of Colorado and Joseph (Debbie) Mead of Cambridge; step grandchildren - Chrissy, Hunter, Kimberly, Abigail, Aiden, Rilee, and Camryn; step great-grandchild - baby Molly; and nieces & nephews - Leeanne Cox, Brandon Bolton, Jesse, Dylan, Nathan, Cole, and Gabe Shuman.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 1, 2014 from 10 AM until the time of the service at 2 PM with Pastor Ed Eberhart officiating at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Burial will follow at Boston Cemetery in Boston, Ohio.
