Clifford J. Guindon, 88, of Barnesville, OH died 4/14/2012 at Emerald Point Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born 10/8/1923 in Barnesville to the late Albert W. and Bertha R. Hall Guindon. Clifford loved people, he was an honest man who loved to be of service to others. He loved to follow the Cleveland Indians. Clifford was a graduate of Olney Friends School in Barnesville where he later worked for 31 years as the farm manager,"milking those Jerseys". He was a retired farmer. He began his farming career in Columbiana, OH, where he worked for 8 years at Kirk and then Hartley apple orchards. Clifford was a birthright member of Stillwater Monthly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends; the Farm Bureau; Ruritan Club; Belmont County Soil and Water Conservation; Barnesville Area Ministerial Association; and the Friends Disaster Service. Clifford was preceded in death by a brother, William R. Guindon of Fairhope, AL and an infant son, Dennis. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Dorothy Bedell Guindon; 4 sons: Dale (Debbie) of Martinsville, OH, Leonard (Legenia) of Jerusalem, OH, Donald (Jan Chambers) of Barnesville, OH, and Lloyd (Robyn Richmond) of Wallingford, PA.; Daughter, Janet (Charles) Hammer of Amesville, OH; 2 sisters: Mary Eva Stanley of Salem, OH and Sara L. (Oliver) Kirk of Adena, OH brother, Wilford "Wolf" (Lucille) of Monteverde, Costa Rica C.A.; and 13 grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday 4/17/2012 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, OH Service will be after the manner of Friends at Stillwater Meeting House on Wednesday 4/18/2012 at 2 PM. Burial will follow at Stillwater Cemetery, Barnesville, OH Memorial contributions can be made to Olney Friends School or a charity of choice.
