Clarence Calvin Baker, Jr., 88, of Barnesville passed away Friday, July 25, 2014 in Cadiz. He was born on September 7, 1925 in Shadyside to the late Clarence C. and Ella (McMann) Baker, Sr.
Clarence was a 1947 graduate of Shadyside High School. He is a veteran of WWII, the Korean War and Vietnam War. Clarence served in the Army and as a Master Sergant in the Air Force with 35 years of dedicated service. He was retired from the parts department of Whiteside's Chevrolet in Wheeling, WV.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Kenner Baker; companion of 40 years, Betty J. Gallagher; infant sister, Elsie Baker; and sister, Fern Baker Rowles.
He is survived by 3 daughters: Vickie (Earl) Tegantvoort of Carson City, Nevada, Beverly (Alan) Roberts of Auburn, California and Teresa (Lalo) Torres of Lincoln, California; two step-daughters: Brenda Lee (Mark) Patterson of Marysville, California and Debbie Baker of Placerville, California; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and special friends and guardians: Betty Rae (Richard W.) Slevin of Quaker City, JoAnn (Ted) Holland of Barnesville and Billie Jo (Ron) Bishop and their daughter Meghan of Barnesville.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2014 from 11am until the time of the service at 1pm with Pastor Jeff Eschbaugh officiating at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemtery in Wheeling, WV. Military Services will be conducted Thursday at 12:45 PM by the Belmont County Veteran's Honor Guard.
