Christopher Lee Ditto, 66, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Liza's Place in Wheeling, West Virginia. He was born on February 2, 1948 in Cambridge, Ohio to the late Arthur and Bernadine (Mayfield) Ditto.
Chris was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and retired Police Chief of 33 years for Barnesville Police Department where he was employed for 35 years. He was a member of Beallsville First Christian Church, Disabled American Veterans, and National Horseshoe Pitching Association. He was also a lifetime member of the American Legion #168 and VFW #2792 and a commissioner for the County Veterans Board in Bellaire.
Mr. Ditto is survived by his wife - Barbara (Carpenter) Ditto; son - Scott (Amie) Ditto of Virginia; daughters - Tina Brown of Missouri and Brandy (Rich) DeGenova of Barnesville; grandchildren - Gian and Addison DeGenova, Alexus and Aubrey Ditto, and Melissa, Megan, and Bradley Brown; 2 great-grandchildren - Ryot and Max; sister - Cindi (Mike) Mazek; and brothers - Ronald McEndree and Bill (Peggy) Ditto.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 14, 2014 from 2-7 PM at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio where services will be held at 7 PM with Pastor Ron Hopkins officiating. VFW Belmont County Honor Guard will conduct services at the funeral home at 6:45 PM.
