Charley R. Carpenter, Jr., 61, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Friday, December 13, 2024 at his home. Charley was born on December 29, 1962 in Barnesville, Ohio to the late Charley R. and Katherine "Kate" (Lucas) Carpenter. Charley loved four wheeling, hunting, being around people, cookouts, and enjoying a cold beer. In addition to his parents, Charley was preceded in death by his son, Corey Robert Pickens; brother, Russell Carpenter; and two sisters, Karen Sue Carpenter and Linda May. Charley is survived by his wife, Machelle Carpenter; children, Robert Carpenter, Jacquie Carpenter, and Russell Carpenter; step-son, Dale Drake; sister, Marguerite (James) Gamble; eight grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Gizmo. No services will be held at this time, a Memorial Service will be planned at a later date. Charley's care has been entrusted to Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio.
