Charles Michael "Mike" Carpenter, 76, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2026 at WVU Barnesville Hospital. He was born on April 13, 1949 in Quaker City, Ohio to the late Ralph and Elizabeth "Pete" (Triplett) Carpenter.

Mike was a Zane Trace High School graduate. He was a welder by trade, he owned his own shop for many years prior to retiring from Ohio Bridge. He enjoyed fishing, cooking out, and his garden.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Connie Sue (Luyster) Carpenter on January 15, 2021; son, Michael Carpenter; sister, Sherry Christine
Luyster; and brother, Gary Carpenter.

Mike is survived by his children, Machelle Carpenter, Mark Carpenter, and Chris (Jill) Carpenter; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Jeannie Carpenter; and his darling dog, Blitz.

A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date at the convenience of the family. Mike will be laid to rest with his wife at Friends Cemetery in Quaker City, Ohio. Care has been entrusted to Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio.
