Charles R. Long, 84, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away Friday morning, June 21, 2013 at his home. He was born on March 2, 1929 in Willoughby, Ohio to the late Glen H. and Marie (Debula) Long.

Charles was a retired heavy equipment operator for Ohio Operating Engineers.  He was a member of the Mt. Olivett United Methodist Church, the Belmont Grange 889 and Kirkwood Masonic Lodge F&AM.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother.

Charles is survived by his wife, Jean Long of Barnesville; daughter, Connie (Jim) Kovacs of Barnesville; son, Bruce (Carla) Long of Barnesville; brother, Donnie Long of Barnesville; 4 grandchildren: Tim (Mollie) Kovacs, Alison (Rich) Weidman, Sarah Long and Drue Long; 5 great-grandchildren: Aidan and Nicholas Kovacs, Dylan and Alyssa Weidman and Olivia Morris.

Services will be held at the convience of the family.  Arrangements by Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Barnesville Hospital or Valley Hospice.
