Charles Donald Carpenter, 64, of Belmont, Ohio passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Wheeling Hospital. He was born on May 22, 1949 in Barnesville, Ohio to the late Elsworth Homer Carpenter and Hazel May (Powell) Carpenter Saffell.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a son - Christopher Carpenter.

He is survived by his mother - Hazel May Saffell; son - Donald Carpenter of Quaker City; daughter - Amanda Carpenter of Bridgeport; 3 sisters - Linda Burnham of Bethesda, Janet Gaidos of Flushing, and Karen Saffell of North Carolina; 2 brothers - John Saffell of Kansas and Thomas Saffell of Virginia; numerous grandchildren; and special friend - Linda Smith of Belmont.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 31, 2014 from 4 PM until the time of the service at 6 PM with Ev. M. Gale Yoho officiating at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio 43713.
