Carol Reta Hunter, 85, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Wheeling Hospital. She was born on June 13, 1931 in Miltonsburg, Ohio to the late Otto and Murl (Starr) Burkhart.

Carol was retired from Barnesville Hospital as a LPN. She was a member of Assumption Church, past president of LPNAO, past president of Catholic Women's Club, and was on the Board of Nursing.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Blaine Hunter on October 13, 1998; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon Sue (Roger) Markovich; and sisters, Doris Headley and Patricia Sharrock.

She is survived by a daughter, Dawn Ann (Dean) George of Barnesville; grandchildren, Marcia Mandley, Michael Markovich, Michaela George, and Hunter George; great-grandchildren, Shayla Markovich, Hunter Markovich, Halle Markovich, and Danah Pryor; sisters, Kay Robb and Charolette Morris; and a brother, Otto Burkhart, Jr.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 26, 2016 from 2 until a funeral eulogy at 3:45 PM conducted by Pastor Joe Thornton and 6-8 PM at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 10 AM with Fr. Dave Cornett officiating at Assumption Church, 306 West Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Barnesville, Ohio.
