Betty L. Hunt, 99, formerly of Barnesville passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at the Senior Suites in St. Clairsville, Ohio.  Betty was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on December 25, 1922 to the late Fred J. and Eva (Martin) MacFarland.

Betty was a member of the Main Street United Methodist Church and a member of the Barnesville Chapter #206 of the Order of the Eastern Star.  Betty was a graduate of Martins Ferry High School.  She worked for many years in Barnesville, mainly for The Mayfair clothing store.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Harry M. Hunt; and her siblings: Ray MacFarland, Lawrence MacFarland, Kenneth MacFarland and Martha Brown.

Betty is survived by her sons, Brent (Patricia) Hunt of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and Brian (Laura) Hunt of St. Clairsville, Ohio; four grandsons: Jonathan (Jeanette) Hunt, Aaron (Dina) Hunt, David Hunt and Braden Hunt; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to Senior Suites, Amedysis Hospice and niece and caregiver, Valerie Bolyard for the care they gave Betty.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022 from 11am until the time of the service at noon with Pastor Andrew Thompson officiating at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn with at Eastern Star service at 11:45am.  Burial will follow in Crestview Cemetery in Barnesville, Ohio.
