Betty Irene (Doudna) Merecka, 71, of Barnesville, Ohio died Monday 01/07/2013 at her home.  She was born in Barnesville, Ohio on 08/06/1941 to the late Aflred M. and Alice (Starbuck) Doudna.

Betty was a member of the Philadelphia Church of God in Canton, Ohio.  She was a homemaker and took care of the family farm.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John H. Merecka (11/15/2012) and 2 brothers: Gene Doudna and Vernon Doudna.

She is survived by her children: Monty John (Trish) Merecka of Boling, TX, Vicky Beth (Dennis) Rolf of Boling, TX, Lory Loma Shelton of Austin, TX, Charles Alfred (Bridget) Merecka of Boling, TX and Justin Joe (Janie) Merecka of Boling, TX; 11 grandchildren; and 3 brothers: Harold Doudna of Barnesville, Robert Jerrald Doudna of Barnesville, and Phillip (Arsenia) Doudna of Barnesville.

Visitation will be held on Thursday 01/10/2013 from 6-8pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio.  The service will be held on Friday 01/11/2013 at 11am with Pastor Aaron Eagle officiating.  Burial will follow at the family farm.
