Bernice Ann Moore, 88, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025 at WVU Barnesville Hospital. She was born on February 12, 1937 in Bethesda, Ohio to the late Hort and Faye (Carpenter) Wehr.
Bernice was a Methodist by faith. She was a cook for the Belmont Career Center. She loved to travel, read, and cook for her family. Her family was her pride and joy.
In addition to her parents, Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, William D. Moore; son, William "Troy" Moore; siblings, Vernon (Marjorie) Wehr, Donnie (Ruth) Wehr, Helma (Kelly) Stephens, Curtis (Betty) Wehr, Jimmy (Shirley) Wehr, Freddy (Norma) Wehr, Eva Mae (Jim) Brown. Lawrence "Ozzie" Wehr, and Roger Wehr, Norma Lee (Karl) Schweikert; sister-in-law, Diane Wehr; and brothers-in-law, Frank Miller, Paul Stump, Neil Neuhart, and Jack Legg.
Bernice is survived by her son, Todd (Louise) Moore, of Barnesville; grandchildren, Sara (Jonathan Reitter) Moore of New Philadelphia, Ohio and Mason (Alexis Mayer) Moore of Medina, Ohio; siblings, Norman Wehr, Janet Stump, Velma Neuhart, Beverly Legg; sister-in-law, Judy Wehr; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 29, 2025 from 10:00am until the time of the service at 12:00pm with Pastor Rodney West officiating at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Burial will follow at Crestview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
