Barbara Alyn McCort, 90, of Barnesville passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at her home. Barbara was born on January 24, 1932 in Jerusalem, Ohio to the late William and Martha (Kemp) Murphy. Barbara was a member of the East Main Street Church of Christ and a 1949 graduate of Bethesda High School. She was a volunteer at Barnesville Hospital for many years. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn McCort; and siblings: Norma Reischman, Nancy Cochran, Marlene Murphy, James Murphy, Randall Murphy, Dick Murphy and Sandra Murphy. Barbara is survived by her children: Vicki Dimitro, Sharon McCort, Steve McCort, Terry (Julie) McCort and Kimberly (Steve) Phillips; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; siblings: Charles Murphy and Betty (Don) Gastineau; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2022 from 1-4pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio. Services will be held on Monday, March 14, 2022 at 10:00am with Ev. Jamie Helmick officiating. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery in Bethesda, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
