Barbara Ann Grimes, 90, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2020, at Emerald Pointe Nursing & Rehabilitation. She was born on October 2, 1929, in Barnesville, Ohio to the late William Homer and Bessie (Wineman) Alexander.

Barbara was a 1947 graduate of Barnesville High School and was a member of the Main Street United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, David Louis Grimes on April 2, 2016; son, David William Grimes; and sisters, Shirley Alexander, Jean Warrick and Nancy Canton.

Barbara is survived by her children Ann (Scott) Lane of Hilliard, Ohio and Kevin (Sue) Grimes of Barnesville; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Tom Alexander of New Mexico.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2020 at 1pm with Pastor Jean Cooper officiating at Crestview Cemetery in Barnesville, Ohio. Barbara's care is entrusted to Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio.

Because Barbara had a love of reading, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Barnesville Hutton Memorial Library.
