Althea Beverly Thomas, 73, of Davie, Florida passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at her home in Barnesville, Ohio.  Althea was born on February 24, 1944 in Cornelia, Georgia to the late Stranleigh and Matsy (Holdt) Crawford.

Althea was a graduate of Florida State University.  She was retired from Broward County Schools in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida where she taught math for 30 years.  She was an avid bird watcher and loved animals, nature and traveling.

She is survived by her husband, Dick Thomas of Florida; daughter, Beverly Lynn King of LaBelle, Florida; and brother, Alan Crawford of Cornelia, Georgia.

Following Althea's wishes, there will be no services.  Arrangements entrusted to Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio.
