Wilma A. Truax, 85, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Monday, October 22, 2018 at her home. She was born on May 19, 1933 in Middleton, Ohio to the late Joseph D. and Margaret (Schaber) Barkley.
Wilma was a member of the Barnesville First United Methodist Church. She was a member of Junior Womens Club and prior to her health, she was active with the Senior Citizens Center and as a Barnesville Hosptial volunteer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Clyde B. Truax on July 15, 2006; step-father, Labana Hetrick; children, James Truax, David Truax, Rick Truax, and Barbara Harris; son-in-law, Terry Carpenter; siblings, Viola Unger, Harriet Lester, Bernard Barkley, and Miriam Ludwig; and a great-grandson, Remington Burkhart.
Wilma is survived by her three sons, Jay (Toni) Rockwell of Barnesville, Dennis (Johanna) Rockwell of Barnesville and Darryl Rockwell of Barnesville; four daughters, Terry Carpenter of Barnesville, Diane St. John of Tennessee, Darla (David) Powell of Bethesda and Jean Ann (Wayne) Cross of New Martinsville, WV; 28 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren with two great-grandchildren on the way; a brother; Richard Hetrick; and several nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 4-8pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio. Visitation will also be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 from 10am until the time of the service at 11am with Rev. Ted Buehl and Rev. Tom Detling officiating. Burial will be held in Oaklawn Cemetery in Woodsfield, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made in Wilma's name to the First United Methodist Church or the Barnesville Hospital.
