Wayne D King

May 26, 1937 ~ September 16, 2017 (age 80) 80 Years Old

Wayne Dement King, 80, of Quaker City passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Astoria Place of Barnesville.  He was born on May 26, 1937 in Quaker City to the late Sarah M. King.

Wayne was a member of the Quaker City Central Christian Church and a lifelong resident of Quaker City until his residency at Astoria Place of Barnesville.

Wayne loved to smoke his pipe and had a collection of over 200 pipes at one time.  He loved Country music……..his favorite singers being Allan Jackson and Willie Nelson.  In his younger years he would stay up almost all Saturday night, listening to WWVA Wheeling Jamboree, The Grand Old Opera, and whatever late night stations were playing Country music.  He was interested in the weather and  moon cycles, spending summer evenings looking for the moon to come out.  He loved TV game shows, the news, and any TV program with country music.

Wayne is survived by his brother, Richard King, sister in law Donna King and two nieces, Sabrina and Miriam of Edmonds, WA.

May you rest in peace, my Brother.

May you return to the arms of our Mother.

May you always hear a Country Tune,

May you always find your special Moon.

A memorial service will be planned at a later date.  Arrangements entrusted to Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio.  Wayne will be buried in Friends Cemetery with his mother.
