Walter Joseph Knox

Walter "Walt" Knox, 53, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Walt was born on September 11, 1965 in Orrville, Ohio to the late Kenneth K. and Ruthan (Cardinal) Knox.

Walt was a 1983 graduate of Barnesville High School, had a B.A. from Walsh University, and a M.B.A. from Ashland University in Business Administration. He was Director of Operations for the Treasurer of the State of Ohio.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Robert M. Miller, Sr.

Walt is survived by his wife of 31 years, Regina (Miller) Knox; three children, Anastasia (Justin) Jack of Elkview, WV, Cecelia (Kyle) Pitt of Newark, Ohio, Anthony (Emily) Knox of Batesville, Indiana; four grandchildren, Madeline, Clara, and Evelyn Jack and Mardella Pitt; seven siblings, Tracy D. (Elizabeth) Knox of Niles, MI, Kenneth (Pam) Knox of St. Clairsville, William (Jita) Knox of Barnesville, Susan (David) Cutshaver of Applecreek, Ohio, Edith (Terry) Schultz of Bethesda, Julia (Bruce) Pearson of Rochester, MN, and Steven (Jeanne) Knox of Orrville, Ohio; mother-in-law, Carolyn Miller of Beallsville; several nieces & nephews; and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 28, 2018 from 4 PM until the time of the vigil service at 8 PM at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 10 AM at the Assumption of the B.V.M. Catholic Church, 306 West Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery in Miltonsburg, Ohio.
