Thomas L. Doty

Thomas L. Doty, 72, of Barnesville, Ohio left this earth on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Barnesville Hospital to do what he loved most, run rabbits and coon hunt. He was born on November 14, 1944 in Egypt Valley, Ohio to the late Charles E. and Edith Sylvia (Patrick) Doty.

Tom was a retired heavy equipment operator from R&F Coal Company and after retirement he worked as a school bus driver. He was an avid hunter and loved being outdoors where he could enjoy his passion for animals especially his dogs.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Nancy Joyner, Betty Lamperth, and Charles "Sonny" Doty.

Tom is survived by his children, Lori Eckerd, Debbie (John) Curl, Larry (Andrea) Doty, Cyndi (Gary) Thompson, Shelley Jefferis, Tommy Doty, Kathryn (Brent) Besten, Stormy Wilson; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mildred "Babe" Swallie.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 20, 2017 from 12-2 PM and 4-6 PM at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio where visitation will be held on Monday, August 21, 2017 from 12 PM until the time of the service at 1 PM with Ed Emory officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Morristown, Ohio.

Memorial contributions may be made in Tom's name to Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio to help the family with funeral costs.
