Thelma Froehlich Obituary

Thelma M. Froehlich, 97, of Barnesville passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 in Barnesville.  Thelma was born on September 23, 1921, in Atlas, Ohio to the late Milton and Anna (Jeffers) Stephen.

Thelma was a member of the Assumption Church in Barnesville, the Catholic Women's Club, Ladies of the Elks, the Barnesville Senior Citizens Center and was very involved with the Barnesville Pumpkin Festival.  Along with raising a family, she had worked for Campus Shirt Factory and the Jonathan Logan Company.  She had also been a cook for the Barnesville Rotary Club.  Thelma enjoyed playing cards, gardening, cooking and canning.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Froehlich, Sr. on February 23, 1999; a daughter, Carolyn Miller; and 12 siblings: Marjorie Palmer, Bertha Carpenter, Mildred Hardesty, Clarence Stephen, Garold Stephen, Hubert Stephen, Rolland Stephen, Madeline Mellinger, Virginia Gallagher, Wanda Devitt, William Clyde Stephen and Joseph Stephen.

Thelma is survived by her son, William F. (Lisa) Froehlich, Jr. of Barnesville; daughter, Pat (Ralph) Anderson of Belmont; 11 grandchildren: Darren Miller, Kevin Miller, Jeff Miller, Tim Miller, Monty Young, Shane Skinner, Leslie Skinner, Shannon Hopkins, Bill Froehlich, Aaron Froehlich and Ashley Paprocki;  26 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her caregiver, Mary Carpenter.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 7, 2019 from 4-8pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio with the Recitation of the Rosary at 7:45pm.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 8, 2019 at 10am Assumption Church in Barnesville, Ohio with Father Dave Cornett officiating.  Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery in Barnesville, Ohio.
