Roger Moore Obituary

Mr. Roger Moore, age 66 of Barnesville OH, passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at his home.

Roger was born on September 24, 1951 in Barnesville to the late Leslie and Grace (Lashley) Moore. Roger married Linda Moore of Barnesville, Ohio on August 26, 1974.

Roger was extremely hard working with remarkable strength. He cut mine post for many years before being employed by Blaney Lumber in Bethesda, then Gardener Lumber in Tippicanoe OH, eventually retiring from Dickinson Cattle Company of Barnesville OH. His greatest love besides his family was working on his farm caring for his own livestock, this brought him much enjoyment.

Roger was a loving family man. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He rarely left a room without making someone smile. He was most proud of his kids and grandkids. Roger was a generous and giving man and considered the rock of his family.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years Linda Moore, a son James (Jessica) Moore of Barnesville, and a daughter Teresa (Luke) Riley of Wheeling,WV. Two brothers Charlie and Michael Moore of Barnesville. Two sisters Betty (Allen) Babe of Carolton OH, and Debbie ( Robbie) Balvin of Maynard OH. He had six grandchildren Brittany ( Jory) Spenger of Safford, Arizona, Austin Dougherty of Valley Grove, WV, Morgan Burghy of Barnesville, Curtis Hall of Wheeling WV, Jacob Burghy of Barnesville, OH, and James B. Moore also of Barnesville OH. Two great granddaughters Jordan and Brylee Spenger of Safford, Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and three sisters Carole Kieger, Ada Speicher, and Sylvia Hayes all of Barnesville, and two brothers William Moore and Lawrence Moore also of Barnesville.
