Raymond E. WIlcox, 90, of Barnesville passed away on Monday, September 30, 2019 at Astoria Place in Barnesville. Raymond was born on August 31, 1929 in Barnesville, Ohio to the late Clarence A. and Thelma C. (Book) Wilcox.
Raymond was a Baptist by faith. He was retired from Kovacs Trucking in Flushing where he worked for over 40 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Jeannetta (Nichols) Wilcox; step-mother, Flossie Wilcox; three brothers: Don Wilcox, Paul Wilcox and Bob Wilcox; and two sons-in-law: Jeff Strauss and Bill Perkins.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Helen M. (Sellers) Wilcox; two daughters: Diane (Greg) Shumaker and Deborah Perkins; five brothers: Jim Wilcox, Kenny Wilcox, Butch Wilcox, Dennis Wilcox and Dale Wilcox; two sisters: Sandy Milhoan and Mary Bussard; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; three step-children: Patty (Rodney) West, Danny Hayes and Bonnie (Randy) Lynn; six step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; seven step-great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2019 from 11am until the time of the service at 1pm with Pastor Rodney West officiating at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio. Burial will follow in Greenmont Union Cemetery in Freeport, Ohio.
The family would like to thank the staff at Astoria Place and Dr. Patcha and Dr. Souri for all of the wonderful care that they showed to Raymond.
