Myron Roe, 83, of Batesville, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Cambridge Health & Rehabilitation Center. He was born on December 6, 1934 in Noble County, Ohio to the late Edgar and Sylvia (Kennedy) Roe.
Myron was a 1953 graduate of Batesville High School. He worked for Timken Roller Bearing of Canton, was an independent milk hauler for Garvins Dairy in Wheeling and Broughtons in Marietta, was an independent trucker, hauling for Merchants 5 Star in Marietta for Union Carbide, school bus driver for Noble Local School District upon retirement. Not knowing how to actually retire, he took up farming full time raising beef cows. He had a gift of gab and never met a stranger.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Loretta (Eagon) Roe, who passed away on February 2, 2008; and a brother, Gilbert Roe.
Myron is survived by his children, Gerald Roe of Canton, Treva (Darin) Kirkbride of Sarahsville and Teresa Bentley of Summerfield; grandchildren, Jennifer Roe, Jason Roe, Jennifer (Kevin) Keyes, Andrew (Summer) Christian, Nicholas Bentley, Coy (Chris) Griffith, and LeAnn Kirkbride; great-grandchildren, Hayden, Lilly, Chloe, and Olivia; and brother, Gary Roe of Pataskala.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 2, 2018 from 10 AM until the time of the service at 1 PM with Rev. Bill Pickenpaugh officiating at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Burial will follow at Friends Cemetery in Quaker City, Ohio.
