Maureen A. Dippel, 61, of Barnesville, Ohio formerly of Astoria, New York passed away on Monday, October 2, 2017 at OhioHealth Grant Medical Center in Columbus. She was born on January 14, 1956 in Astoria, New York to the late Helen (Reynolds) Smith and Lawrence Smith of Bethesda, Ohio.
She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Temperanceville, Ohio. She loved her children, grandchildren, playing bingo, traveling to New York, her coffee, and was a best friend to everyone. After many years of working at Stenger Trucking, she went back to school with the goal of receiving a Bachelor's in Business Management from Ashford University and was only six credits shy of graduating.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Dippel.
Maureen is survived by her children, Kelly (Rob) Reustle of Massapequa Park, New York and Shannon (Aaron) Koher of St. Clairsville; four grandchildren, Aiden Dippel, Reese Reustle, Masyn Koher, Robert Reustle; three siblings, Patricia (Chet) Agrusa of Barnesville, Larry (Sharon) Smith of Atlanta, Laurie Ann (Darrin) O'Connor of Queens, New York; and lots of nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. A vigil service will be held on Wednesday at 6 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 11 AM with Fr. Virgil Reischman officiating at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Temperanceville. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
