Mary Clark Obituary
Mrs Mary Ellen Clark, 82, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Astoria Place of Barnesville. Mary was born on August 23, 1935 in Caldwell, Ohio to the late Bernard P. and Freda M. (Deal) Butler.
Mary was a loving sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. She was most proud and happiest when her grandchildren, nieces, nephews were by her side.
Unselfishly putting others first and tending to patients as a nurses aid for many years, this was something she loved doing.
Mary loved to cook, and had a green thumb, her love of gardening and ability to share the fruits and vegetables of her labor. She worked hard her entire life and was considered the rock of her family; her strength and determination was incredible, as was her little attitude that she was known for.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, George B. Clark who she married in 1955; two brothers Delbert and Richard Butler; a sister Eleanor Crawford; a daughter, Evelyn Hickenbottom; and a granddaughter; Carrie McCort.
She is survived by one sister, Geraldine Clark of Cambridge, Ohio; two daughters, Regina McCort, Linda (Roger) Moore; two sons, George Clark, Jr. and Roger Clark all of Barnesville; ten grandchildren, Teresa (Lucas) Riley of Wheeling, James (Jessee) Moore, Cassie (Aaron) Steele, Chrissy (Jeremy) Anderson, David McCort, Melvin (Catdia) Clark, Robert Clark, Lacy Clark all of Barnesville, and Kayla Clark of Columbus; 18 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 10 AM until the time of the service at 2 PM with Rev. Charles Clark officiating at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Burial will follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Batesville, Ohio.
