Judith Ann Peters, 74, of Barnesville went to be with her Lord on Friday, April 13, 2018 surrounded by her family. Judith was born in Barnesville on November 18, 1943 to the late Bernard Smith and Martha Secrest Smith Carpenter.
In 2002, Judith gave her life to Christ, she was a member of the Mt. Zion Church in Bethesda and a 1961 graduate of Beallsville High School. She worked for many years at Convenient and later retired from Riesbecks. She was active with the 3C cancer group, and enjoyed many lunch dates with her Lunch Bunch and Tuesday Lunch Group.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Carpenter; infant sister, Leah Carpenter and sister, Linda Carpenter.
Judith is survived by her loving husband, Frederick Peters who she married on November 19, 1964; two sons: Barry (Judy) Peters of Quaker City and Dan (Julie) Peters of Barnesville; granddaughter, Lindsey (Steve) Brown of Salesville; great-grandson, Connor Brown; brother, Joseph Carpenter of Byesville; and half-brother, C.B. Smith of Martins Ferry.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 from 4-7pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barneville, Ohio. The service will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 1pm with Pastor Rodney West officiating. Burial will follow in Crestview Cemetery.
