Juanita Cousten, 91, of New Martinsville, WV, passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Sistersville Center in Sistersville, WV. Juanita was born on May 3, 1926 in New Martinsville, WV to the late Ray Melvin and Elsie (Edge) Milburn.
Juanita was a 1944 graduate of Magnolia High School and a member of the New Martinsville United Methodist Church. She was retired from B&O Railroad where she worked as an agent, telegraph operator and retired as a train dispatcher. She and her husband opened Magnolia Skating Rink in the 1960's. Juanita had previously served on the Wetzel County Hospital Board and had volunteered for Wetzel County Ambulance. She was a member of Eastern Star for over 50 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard L. Cousten on September 6, 2005; brother, Charles Edwin Milburn; and great-nephew, T.C. Hayes.
Juanita is survived by her daughter, Anna Lee "Candy" (Gerald) Litman of Novi, MI; granddaughter, Heather Lane (Rick) Bauer of Novi, MI; great-granddaughter, Meredith Bauer of Novi, MI; nephew and nieces: Mel (Pam) Milburn, Sharon (Roger) Manion, Sandy Hayes, Sarah Kaser, Betsy (David) Beal and Robin (Hal) McCarter; sister-in-law, Betty Jenkins; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 10am until the time of the service at 1pm at the New Martinsville United Methodist Church with Pastor Stephen Rector officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in New Martinsville, WV. Arrangements entrusted to Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio.
