John Joseph Venick, Jr.

John Joseph Venick, Jr., 67, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at his home with his son by his side. He was born on November 8, 1951 in Brownsville, Pennsylvania to the late John and Helen (Kapes) Venick, Sr.

John was a member of the Assumption Church of Barnesville. He graduated from Bethlehem Center High School and the California University of Pennsylvania. John was the recipient of the Who's Who Among American Teacher and retired from Beallsville Middle School in 1991 where he taught Social Studies and was loved and admired by his students. John enjoyed spending time coaching and volunteering at the park. He was an amazing father and grandfather. His grandchildren were the light of his life and will be dearly missed by them.

John is survived by his children, Seth Venick of Barnesville and Nichole (Shawn) Clouse of Barnesville; grandchildren, Avery, Macguire, and Ansley Clouse; sister, Carol Natali of Chippewa; and two nephews: Craig Natali and Jason (Linda) Natali.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018 from 10 AM until the time of the service at 1 PM with Fr. Dave Cornett officiating at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Burial will follow at Northern Cemetery in Barnesville, Ohio.

John was an avid supporter of the American Diabetes Association and American Heart Association. Memorial contributions may be made in John's name to either organization.
