Jeffrey Paul Mellott, 60, formerly of Fairview, Ohio passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Cambridge Health and Rehab. Jeffrey was born in Barnesville on February 28, 1959 to the late Paul H. and Dolores (Dunfee) Mellott. Jr.
When Jeffrey was younger, he attended the Fairview Methodist Church. Jeffrey was involved for many years in Golden Rule Program in Cambridge, then the Coshocton County Board of Development Disabilities until he became a resident at Cambridge Health and Rehab. Jeffrey had a smile that lit up the room and his catch phrase was "Good Guy". His mother Dolores was Jeffrey's angel, she fought hard to give Jeffrey a normal life. He was involved with the Boy Scouts when he was younger and the town of Fairview, where the community was also so supportive of him.
In addition to his parents, Jeffrey was preceded in death by his best-friend and brother, Randy Mellott with whom he shared a bond that was stronger than words.
Jeffrey is survived by a brother, Russell Allen (Mitzie) Mellott; sister-in-law, Rita Mellott of Quaker City; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27, 2019 from 11am until the time of the service at 1pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Fairview, Ohio.
The family would like to thank the staff and residents at Cambridge Health and Rehab for making him part of their family.
