Irene M (Moore) Foutty

Irene M. Finley Foutty, 97, of Barnesville passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Emerald Pointe Nursing & Rehab. She was born on April 23, 1920 in Malaga, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Nathaniel and Sarah (Beardmore) Moore.

She was an accomplished seamstress and quilter and found great joy in her stitchery both for herself and for others. She was a member of the East Main Church of Christ in Barnesville.

She was preceded in death by her husband Carl E. Finley and later, husband George A. Foutty. Also preceding in death were sisters Geraldine Brown, Margaret Kratz, Violet Wood and brother James Moore.

She is survived by her daughter, Ruth (John) Callard of St. Charles, Illinois; her granddaughters, Whitney (Robert) Breen of Chicago and Anne (Jeffrey) Imming of Geneva Illinois; and great grandchildren, Finley and Connor Breen and Parker and Owen Imming. Also surviving is a sister Gwendolyn Blaney of Vincent, Ohio. She was also lovingly devoted to her extended Foutty family.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family with Pastor Ed Eberhart officiating at Crestview Cemetery in Barnesville, Ohio. Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. 

Memorials may be made in Irene’s name to Hospice of Guernsey County, 9711 E. Pike Road, Cambridge, Ohio 43725. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Himalaya Patcha, the wonderful people at Emerald Pointe and Hospice of Guernsey County.
