Glenn A. Cain, 88, of Belmont, Ohio passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Wheeling Hospital. He was born on June 2, 1930 in Belmont, Ohio, a son of the late Emery Cain and Lessie Wilson Cain.
Glenn was a lifelong dairy farmer, spending the best days of his life working the family farm. He remained active in the daily operations, sharing the responsibility with his family, which were the most important part of his life. Years ago, Glenn was a substitute mail carrier. He proudly served his country during the Korean War, stationed in Trieste, Italy. In his spare time, he enjoyed Bluegrass music.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Christman Cain; sisters, Freda Mueller and Marilyn Cain McCann; and a brother, Richard "Fuzzy" Cain.
Surviving are daughters, Debbie (Brad) Mason of Bethesda, Beverly Yudasz and Sheryl (Scott) Schaner all of Barnesville; sons, Larry Cain and Brad (Theresa) Cain all of Bethesda; sister, Janice (Charley) Copley of Bethesda; a brother, Jim (Judy) Cain of St. Clairsville; grandchildren, Erin (Brian) Ballard, Ashley (Shad) Watkins, Gabe (Kalyn) Cain, Derek (Micah) Cain, Devin (Allie) Cain, Todd (Lauren) Cain, Tonya Harris, Emylee (Cody) Yudasz, Marisa Yudasz, Mariah Yudasz, Evan (Bethany) Schaner, and Jessica Schaner; great-grandchildren, Ellie and Julian Ballard, Seth, Jake, and Anna Watkins, Lincoln and Walker Cain, Owen, Jake, and Maks Cain, Liza Cain Landon, and Abel Harris.
Friends will be welcomed to the Cain Family Farm, 62361 Belmont Hunter Road, Belmont, Ohio 43718 on Monday from 11 am until the time of the service at 2 pm overlooking Glenn's lifelong passion, the family farm. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery, Bethesda, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made in Glenn's memory to the Smith Goshen Rice Enrichment Fund.
