Ethel I. Rushin, 87, of Barnesville passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at her home. Ethel was born in Armstrong Mills, Ohio on March 11, 1930 to the late Sherman and Gertrude (Harlan) Brooks.
Ethel was a member of the House of Shepherd in New Athens, Ohio. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed cooking, baking and gardening.
In addition to her parents, Ethel was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Rushin; son, Pete Rushin; two grandsons, Dave Rushin and Gary Rushin; three brothers: Lawrence, Walter and David Brooks; and three sisters: Audrey Stillion, Mildred Rushin and Norma Peel.
Ethel is survived by her daughter, Ruth Ann Johnson of Barnesville; three sons: Walter (Ruth) Rushin of Jerusalem, Ohio, Stanley Rushin of Barnesville and John (Audrey) Rushin of New Athens, Ohio; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; two brothers: Bob Brooks and Raymond Brooks; sister, Edna Warren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 26, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio. The service will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 11am with Pastor Pete Tuchek. Burial will follow in Armstrong Mills Cemetery.
